Trip To Rainbow's End

"Come on dad,  mum,  Ethan and Jade let's go to Rainbow's end".

It was second Saturday of the holidays and my family going on a trip to Rainbow's End.  I felt really excited.  The first ride I went on was the amazing fear fall.  I quieckly ran  as fast as a cheetah to be first in the line.  I stood after the people who were before me.  Finally it was my turn.  "My dad said 'boy don't hesitate on this ride please".  We got buckled in then we went up,up,up,up and up.  When we reached the top it went really fast.  As it went down my dad was scared.  My brother deader said wasn't going on the fear fall.

The next ride was called Invader.  My mum,  dad and I went on the Invader.  It was awesome.  My brother and sister were watching us.  finally we were starting to go it was fun.

Next me and my dad went on the rollercoster.  We got buckled in then the ride started.  It went around and down then the ride was over.

It was time for the...bumper-boats! They were amazing but I got wet.

I loved the next ride it was the...dodgems.   First it was me and my dad in the same car.  Then we found Ethan.  We went on the bumper-boats again and got wet again! but my brother got wet more then me,and my dad got even wet more then me.

After all that fun I was really hungry "yay finally we are getting Mcds! NECKMINUTE! we got KFC! I ate it all and my Mum,  dad,  brother and sister were still eating.Next we went on the night rides.  They were amazing.  Then we went home.  It was a fun day but I was really tired.

Mighty Muscles By Sue Gibbison

Today we read  an article called Mighty Muscles.I learnt what you need to do to be a strong person.Here are somethings I learnt Number 1
what you need to eat.
eggs, meat, fish, nuts, cheese.

I liked this article because I have learnt things that I don't know.

When your biceps relaxes the triceps contracts.It pulls your body arm down again.

When you kick a ball, hundreds of muscles team up.

The biggest muscle is the gluteus maximus and the smallest muscle is stapedius.

Stretching you muscles helps to keep them flexible.

I liked this article because I have learnt what I need to know about muscles.

Little Black Riding Hood


Little Black Riding Hood

                              

Once upon a time there  was a girl called Little Black Riding Hood.  She asked her dad if she could go visit her Uncle Caleb and Cousin Leroy but her dad said, “no.”  So Little Black Riding Hood ran away into the dark,  deep,  creepy, scary woods.  Her brother ran after her.

Cousin Leroy and Uncle Caleb lived in a castle at the beach that was one hour walk away.  As she walked along the path,  she saw bananas,  apples,  oranges,  pears,  kiwi fruit and lemons.  She went to pick some fruit when Little Black Riding Hood realised she didn’t know where the path was.  

Suddenly a dwarf called Ethan saw Little Black Riding Hood and helped her by telling her where the path was.   Then he asked her where she was going.  She said, “To my Uncle Caleb. He is the King and Cousin Leroy, he’s the prince.  They live at the beach in a sand castle.”  

After that the Ethan told her the long way to the beach, then he went to tell the witch and the dark knight.  The witch got an army of pigs.  

Ethan, the dwarf and the dark knight went the short way but by then  Little Black Riding Hood was already there.  

Little Black Riding Hood told her Uncle Caleb about her trip over here.  When Little Black Riding Hood told him about the dwarf Ethan, King Caleb fainted.  When King Caleb woke up he told Little Black Riding Hood that the dwarf called Ethan was their enemy.   Little Black Riding Hood she fainted as well!

King Caleb and  Prince Leroy went out looking for a army of predator.  They saw lots of animals coming towards the castle.  They rode back to the castle as fast as they could.

Meanwhile, Little Black Riding Hood and her friend, Briahna were playing outside the castle in a tree house.  All of a sudden Little Black Riding Hood saw an army of pigs in the air.  Briahna had a shot gun and Little Black Riding Hood had a BB Rocket Launcher that follows the target.    

She saw Ethan the dwarf flying towards them looking very angry and moody.  Briahna and Little Black Riding Hood ran as fast as cheetahs back to the castle.  King Caleb and Prince Leroy were back.  When Little Black Riding Hood told King Caleb that Ethan was coming, King Caleb fainted again!

Little Black Riding Hood and Briahna got their weapons and King Caleb and Prince Leroy got their swords.  They went out to fight.  The goodies killed all the baddies.  Little Black Riding Hood killed Ethan the dwarf.  The pigs were defeated.

Little Black Riding Hood and her family lived happily ever after.

Te Tuhi Art

On friday 14 June 2013 it is a trip called Te Tuhi it is a art center my class had to draw ourselves.  My favourite was using the paint.  It was also tricky because you needed to fill in all the right spaces and you couldn't go over the blue dye and the vivid.

My next step is to improve my practise more on my draft because I suck at it.

I have been playing mathletics alot of over the past few weeks and this week I won the Mathletics Award for the student with the most points!  I finally beat Y from Room 13!  I am really excited that I beat him because he has won three times in a row!  I hope I win next time!

My Reading Reflection
I have been learning to summarise the main ideas in fiction text. We used a story pyramid to help us summarise Grandad's Dinosaur.I found this easy because I used the pictures to find the important parts in the text and wrote them down. One thing I did well was looked for key words in the text and used the pictures.My next step is to do better and summarise more. I love this.

My Maths Reflection

I have been learning to find halves,  quarters,  thirds and fifths of shapes.I found this tricky because I didn't know if two eighths is bigger then a half.  I am still learning to find this easy because I find it tricky.  My next step is to keep working towards finding and comparing fractions because it is tricky.
